Touring facilities at Troutbeck Park
We have 54 pitches and welcome motorhomes, tents, and touring caravans onto the site, while we also have a well-equipped holiday caravan that sleeps up to six people and comes with TV and DVD player, Freeview television channels, a fully equipped kitchen and an en-suite shower. All pitches on our site, which has been awarded a five-star Visit Britain award and a five-star AA Pennant, offer stunning views of the surrounding hills of the Lake District National Park. We welcome families and their pets to Troutbeck, with a children’s play area and plenty of open spaces to enjoy, both on site and in the surrounding area.
Our mobile pitches are equipped with electric hook-ups, with laundry, washing up, and chemical waste disposal facilities located on the site for your convenience, too. Wi-Fi internet is also available for you to use at your leisure. The on-site shop stocks everything you need for your stay, meaning you can come and stay at Troutbeck and simply use our well-located, peaceful site to relax and hibernate for the duration of your break should you choose to do so.
Rookin House Farm Equestrian and Activity Centre can be found close to the site, where you can go horse riding both in the surrounding fields and on various trails in the area, as well as other fun activities including archery and, uniquely, amphibious driving. Dalemain Historic House and Gardenscan be found near Ullswater and is a great place to visit for those with an interest in architecture. The “Lady on the Lake” is Ullswater’s famous lake ferry, allowing you to travel to various points around the lake as well as enjoy a bite to eat and a refreshing drink; all you need to decide is whether you want to take a return journey or walk back to where you started!
There are numerous places to relax and enjoy fishing around the Lake District National Park, while several hill walks are also within easy reach. Penrith and Keswick are minutes away by car for those who want to head into the Cumbrian towns.
